Light Art Prize Contest 2010:
Winners Light Art Contest selected!
This year, the Light Art Museum in Eindhoven for the third time in her existence organizes the Light Art Contest. 2010’s theme is REFLECTION. After meeting of the jury, the winners are now selected.
This year, the contest focusus on new talent and young artists. Final examination candidates of academies and recently graduated artists in particular were invited to participate. This direct approach is shows in the large amount of entries of young artists. The jury – consisting of five members of the world of design, culture and technology – have chosen ten artists from a large amount entries.
The selected artists are: Matthijs Munnik (Den Haag), Suzanne van Rest (Maastricht), Eelco Wagenaar (Amsterdam), Jan Fedinger (Helsinki), Nicky Assmann (Rotterdam), Adrian Villa (Keulen), Carmin Karasic en Oscar Tomico (Eindhoven), Ismay Wolff (Groningen) en Douwe Jan Buwalda (Kampen).
These ten artists are chosen to exhibit together at the exhibition Reflection which will start from November the 6th. Apart from the exhibition, they will also be offered a publication. There will also an Audience Award for the work of art with the most votes from the visitors of the museum.
